MG Motor India reported a 24 percent dip in the retail sales market

The worldwide semiconductor chips shortage also affected MG Motor India on Monday it reported a 24 percent dip in retail sales at 2,863 units in October 2021 amid a down from 3,750 units from the same month in 2020.

MG Motor said that “The global chip shortage has hampered production resulting in lower sales. The challenge to ensure timely deliveries is likely to persist through November and December and we expect this to get better in the first quarter next year,”

As of Festival season demand for MG Motor Hector, cars is likely to remain at the core despite newer products from MG Motor. While the SUV received 4,000 bookings last month, as many as 3,625 units had been retained by the company in October of 2020.

Also, the newly launched MG Motor Astor car received positive feedback from the customers and booking are now open for Astor
